HPE OEM program enables LayerX to extend its vGRID cloud brand with Hybrid IT solutions

OEM solutions from HPE are enabling New Zealand cloud services provider, LayerX Group, to custom-brand a range of HPE servers and edge gateway devices, creating a Hybrid IT offering that extends the performance and reliability of its HPE Synergy-powered vGRID cloud to customers requiring on-site compute.

For small and medium-size businesses, budget and staff are usually in short supply when it comes to IT. It's particularly challenging in New Zealand, where the average SMB is around 610 people. Nevertheless, these smaller organizations need to compete effectively, even against much larger enterprises. And lack of robust IT should not stand in their way.
That's where LayerX steps in. An HPE customer as well as HPE OEM partner, LayerX is a leading provider of cloud solutions for the New Zealand SMB market through its vGRID offerings. vGRID is a flexible platform built on HPE Synergy composable infrastructure, supported by HPE Proactive Care from HPE Pointnext. However, not all LayerX customers are comfortable going all in with a public cloud. So LayerX recently introduced Hybrid IT solutions leveraging the HPE OEM program.
Bruce Trevarthen, LayerX Group CEO, explains, "The HPE OEM program gives us the unique ability to take world-class HPE hardware and badge it under our own brand. The program also matches robust HPE technology with an equally robust supply chain, which enables us go to market knowing that we'll be able to meet customer expectations."
