The Burkhalter Group is a leading provider of electrical engineering services in the construction industry and currently includes 46 businesses with 95 locations across Switzerland. The Group, which recorded revenues of CHF 514.7 million in 2017, employs around 3,000 people. Its service portfolio covers every aspect of electrical engineering such as installations, switchboards, maintenance and repairs, telematics, automation, and security.
"Our strategy is to grow through acquisitions and to do that, we need an extremely flexible and highly performant IT infrastructure in our data centers that allows us to react very quickly to changes within the company at any time. Our target is to integrate new companies into our IT systems within two months," says Zeno B�hm, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Burkhalter Management AG.
Since the company went public in 2008, the Burkhalter Group has continuously expanded its presence in the Swiss market. The purchase of Elektro Niklaus AG in autumn 2018 was its 21st acquisition. Growth through the targeted acquisition of other electrical engineering companies will continue to be part of the Burkhalter Group strategy going forward.
