Hewlett Packard Enterprise and CenturyLink

The year 2018 marked a milestone for Apergy Corporation, as it became an independent public trading company offering industry-leading technologies for oil and gas drilling and production. Apergy Corp. turned to HPE partner, CenturyLink, for managed cloud services - built on HPE ProLiant servers with Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 and v3 processors and HPE 3PAR StoreServ storage - empowering Apergy to create value for its customers and shareholders.

Apergy Corp. is a leading provider of highly engineered equipment and technologies that help companies drill for, and produce, oil and gas safely and efficiently around the world. A publicly traded company based in The Woodlands, Texas, Apergy spun off from its parent company in May 2018.

Business goals

As an independent public company with industry-leading technologies and brands, Apergy has positioned itself to focus on the drilling and production sectors, and accelerates value creation for its customers and shareholders. Behind the scenes, independence required Apergy to migrate its core applications to a new infrastructure contracted exclusively to Apergy. The company wanted to accomplish this transition with minimal downtime impact on business operations. Also, Apergy needed the ability to scale its IT capabilities up and down according to demand fluctuations in the oil and gas industry.
